Russia’s Putin orders fulfillment of state arms program
NOVO-OGARYOVO, Moscow Region, Sep 9 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday ordered the government to fulfill its obligations on a state arms program this year.
“All budget obligations and plans in the defense and security sphere taken earlier should be definitely fulfilled. It is necessary to complete generalizations of proposals to a draft new state arms program already this year. And I also ask the government to submit a draft program for approval by July 1, 2017. And in the end, in accordance with the instruction given to the military authorities – it is necessary to give a comprehensive assessment of budget spending on the future state arms program,” Putin said.
“In the preparation of its financial parameters it is necessary to proceed from the fact that armed forces and other troops should be ensured with modern weapons and equipment at a level, which will allow to efficiently and fully solve the tasks of reliable protection of Russia from potential military threats,” Putin said.
